2007 Festival
Indiefest celebrates the “vision without compromise” spirit of the independent filmmaker. Incorporating a competitive film festival, a screenwriting contest, and a weeklong party, Indiefest brings the world’s film community to the beautiful city of Chicago.
Indiefest has become one of the foremost independent film festivals in the world. Many films presented and awarded at Indiefest have continued on to receive awards at other festivals as well as distribution. Each year the festival includes more than 50 films from the US and other countries, many of which are world, U.S., and Chicago premieres. Awards are presented in more than a dozen categories (for both films and scripts) at our Closing Night Awards Ceremony.
Indiefest 2007 will showcase the best of independent film to the general public, filmmakers, and the media. With more films, events, seminars, and parties, Indiefest 2007 is the “must” attend independent film festival of the year. Indiefest 2007 is scheduled to take place July 26th – August 2, 2007.
Our Vision
Indiefest was created by independent filmmakers, for independent filmmakers. It is our goal to give your project as much exposure as possible. Each film/video that is selected will receive multiple screenings, and filmmakers and screenwriters will be invited to promote their projects at all of Indiefest’s events. Participants will be provided with Indiefest promotional information and materials to market their individual films to the media and the general public.
We believe that Indiefest 2007 will be the launchpad for your project. Indiefest is growing rapidly, and we want the independent film community to grow with us. “Vision without compromise” is our goal for the independent filmmaker. Indiefest 2007 – presenting your vision to the world.
